Oh. My. Gawd.
I've been wondering why the top of my chapstick stick kept dropping way below the level of the top of the chapstick tube, and now I know:
My chapstick is possessed! Seeeeeeee?
I mean, I knew that Chapstick was EVILE, but when it starts moving on its own, then it's time to call in the priests.

That video is frightening!! Things like that are happening where I come from, too! Just last week, I was in an archive, reading a large book. Suddenly, without warning, the page of the book started moving! Not just once, not just twice, but at least 6 times! It moved, paused, moved, paused, stopped, moved, paused -- seemingly randomless moving. But moving softly, as if to mock me. I told the person next to me to quick look. What did the book do? NOTHING! Nobody believes me because I didn't capture it on film like you did with the Chap Stick, Greenfloppy.
Speaking of lip balm, here's the kind of carp they sell here: http://www.labello.com/
It's not the one-handed opening kind of lip balm like good old ChapStick or even the economical generic version, Walgreens Chap-aid, which I have in my pocket right now.
This Labello crap takes TWO HANDS to operate. Look at the picture and you'll see, there's a big HUGE "cap" you have to remove first, impossible to do with one hand. What were they thinking when they invented that thing? It's designed like a LIP STICK tube. Wonder how regular men, who don't normally wear lip stick, like using this stuff?
I was even compelled to write Labello a letter just now. It read:
"I have a complaint about your Labello Lippenpflege. Not the product itself, but the tube! Why do you need to have such a large cover on the tube? This makes it virtually impossible to open the tube with one hand. Opening a Labello tube requires TWO hands to open it!
There is a great product in America, called "Chap Stick" which is packaged in a tube that requires the use of only one hand to open it. Check out www.chapstick.org/classic.
Unfortunately, I will not buy any more of your Labello lip care products because of the inconvenient packaging and cumbersome tube cover.
With Chap Stick, I can open the tube with one hand while driving, while biking, while sitting in a meeting, while feeding the baby, and without the inconvenience of stopping everything to take my left hand to remove the cap, apply the product, then put the cap back on.
I know you probably won't change your tube design because of my complaint. But it's just something to consider."
Maybe there was a cockroach under some of the pages you were looking at that was making the mocking pages move. You should remember to take your camera with you wherever you go, because you never know when something mysterious might happen that you'd want to catch on film.
Eew, that labello is horrible! They made the wrong end be the stick! You should send that letter -- they have to be told how wrong it is to make the cap part be whole tube length!!
I did send that letter (notice my quote marks in my Jan. 16 comment). Today I received a reply from the Labello company:
"thank you for your e-mail and the interest you have shown in our products. Please excuse our late reply.
We are sorry, that you don’t like our actual packaging of Labello. In the past we’ve already produced a one-hand system for our Labello, but the insignificant consumer demand for this kind of packaging made us change it back to our traditional one.
We hope you understand our decision! If you have further questions don’t hesitate to contact us again."
I think I've just been insulted! Did she just call me an "insignificant consumer"????? Well!!
Ohhh, I thought you were compelled to write one JUST THEN, as in right there in the comments of this post, but then not send it.
Hahahhaa, "a one-hand system" HAHAAHAAHA.
I think they did just insult you! I know when you've been insulted! I know when you've been insulted!
